Saks Fifth Avenue Unveils Land Of 1000 Delights Holiday Windows

Luxury retailer Saks Fifth Avenue revealed their iconic holiday windows and stunning light show to kick off the festive season. The theme, Land of 1000 Delights presented by MasterCard, appears in all 41 Saks Fifth Avenue stores in the US and Canada. Land of 1000 Delights is a charming scene of colorful candy and festive fashion. Picture oversized swirl lollipops, loads of rock candy displayed throughout each store’s visual displays crafting an alluring destination for the holidays.

To celebrate the unveiling, dancers from the American Ballet Theatre performed a rendition of the Nutcracker Suite on Fifth Avenue while the store’s façade was illuminated by a ten-story tall light show. Saks’ windows along Fifth Avenue highlight a series of “Candy Couture” bespoke dresses from designer labels including Alexander McQueen, Carolina Herrera, Marchesa, Jason Wu and Erdem. The one-of-a-kind dresses on display were inspired by the designer’s favorite holiday treats including cotton candy, cake frosting and peppermint sticks. The holiday light show will continue to play throughout the season from 5-11pm every ten minutes everyday until January 2, 2017.
