Good Grief! It’s the holidays! And the season would not be complete without Macy’s Herald Square unveiling their holiday windows before the Thanksgiving Day Parade. This year, Macy’s is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of “A Charlie Brown Christmas” by embracing the whole PEANUTS gang. “A Charlie Brown Christmas” was the leading animated special to air on a major tv network featuring characters from Charles Schulz’s comic strip, Peanuts. To commemorate, The Julliard Artist Diploma Ensemble and youth choir performed soul soothing melodies reflecting the charm and innocence of the entire Peanuts gang. Appearances featuring this year’s Holiday Ambassador Snoopy, Macy’s Parade Executive Producer, Amy Kule, and National Director of Window Presentation, Roya Sullivan along with Lucy and Linus, were made to help kick off the unveiling. Six windows on Broadway between 34th and 35th street showcase the iconic characters with famous quotes from “A Charlie Brown Christmas” which will feed adult nostalgia and satisfy a new generation of kids.
