The Lacoste Fall 2015 collection was inspired by the past by paying homage to René Lacoste and the sport of tennis, which made him celebrated both as a champion and as an inventor. Creative director Felipe Oliveira Baptista introduced a chic assortment of strong heritage with its tailoring inspired by the sophistication of the 1930s yet with a fashionable, urban style fantasized by the graphic and colorful 1970s. Picture hues of grass green, red and blue with touches of lime green and purple. We viewed tracksuits for men and women as the city’s newest coming and going outfit in thick jerseys as well as in nylon and silk. Short skirts and dresses paired with long coats and knits offered a mix and match of sporty with tailored pieces creating a versatile look. Sweaters and coats featured sleeves that can unfasten to free up arm movement, destined to become a closet staple this season.
